Hannah Lew

Hannah Lew is a filmmaker, musician, and visual artist based in San Francisco. Her film work has screened at SFMOMA, the Red Vic Theater, and Artists Television Access. She plays bass and sings in Grass Widow, Cold Beat, and Generation Loss.

I first heard her on John Richards' show on KEXP. He played "Sunday" and it stopped me straight away. It was so good he hit play again right after the first spin. That does not happen often. Her debut album, released April 10, 2026, is a strong first statement. There is a confidence in the writing that feels way beyond a debut.
